Description
The Edinburgh Salmon Company (ESCo) has announced plans to close its factory in Dingwall, which will result in the loss of 163 jobs. The site which processes fish for wholesale and retail markets had announced in September that it was seeking a new buyer and that the company had suffered losses due to challenging market conditions. No buyer has been found, so the closure of the business has been confirmed, with individual consultations with employees due to begin shortly. The closure will happen by the end of 2018.
