Description
British global retailer Tesco has announced that it will close three stores across Poland and cut 240 jobs through a collective dismissal programme. The programme will affect three unprofitable stores located in Kalisz, Warsaw and Wrocław. The programme will be carried out between 20th June and 10th August 2018. According to the source, the restructuring event will affect 211 rank and file and 29 personnel managers.
Tesco has been operating in Poland since 1992 and currently has about 400 stores in the country. In February 2018, the company announced a restructuring programme resulting in a reduction of 600 jobs.
