Description
The French-owned glass firm Saint Gobain announced it will create about 120 new jobs at its new plant in Calarasi (Calarasi County), by the start of 2019.
The construction of the new plant was announced in the media in 2017 and the company is reported to have invested around €180 million in its construction.
In Romania, Saint-Gobain operates in 11 industrial sites in Brasov (Brasov County), Branesti (Ilfov County), Calarasi (Calarasi County), Ploiesi (Prahova County), Satu Mare (Satu Mare County), Tulcea (Tulcea County), Turda (Cluj County) and Suceava (Suceava County).
As of May 2018, the company has a workforce of 1,000 in Romania.
