Description
Lufthansa Technik Sofia is going to create 300 new jobs by the end of 2017. Lufthansa Technik Sofia will become the largest facility department in Eastern Europe (1,300 employees). Lufthansa Technik completed the expansion of its aircraft repair base at Sofia Airport. The company officially presented the new hangar and the new office building on 28 October 2017. This expansion enables the centre to repair 8 aircraft simultaneously.
Founded in the late summer of 2007 and opened in October 2008, Lufthansa Technik Sofia (LTSF) is a joint venture company between Lufthansa Technik AG (75,1%) and the Bulgarian Aviation Group (24,9%). The Bulgarian company specialises in maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft in the Airbus A320 family and of the Boeing 737 series (Classic and Next Generation).
