Description
Pali Italia, a manufacturer of lighting poles and transmission towers, is to close its plants in Anagni (Frosinone) and Parma and dismiss its 150 employees.
The company has been under insolvency proceeding due to consistent debts towards banks. It was eventually declared bankrupt by the Tribunal of Parma, that announced the dismissals.
The affected workers have been holding strikes and demonstrations over the last months, also complaining about delays in the payment of wages.
Unions hope that the liquidator will successfully sell the company to new investors and save the jobs.
