Description
Lighthouse Studios, a joint initiative of Cartoon Saloon and Mercury Filmworks, is to create 140 jobs in Kilkenny over the next three years. The jobs will be in production management, design, animation, effects art, composition, technical direction, 3D modelling, rigging, lighting and texture art, and IT administration. The new Lighthouse Studios will produce "high-quality children’s and family animated content development and end-to-end production services – from scriptwriting, design, storyboard, animation and compositing to post-production services – to a global client base" (Silicon Republic.com). The jobs expansion is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation through IDA Ireland.
