European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The textile company Santens has experienced difficulties for some years and has now been declared bankrupt. The company has debts of about 7 million euro. In 2011, a bankruptcy was avoided thanks to a take-over by the French company Descamps and a loss of more than 250 jobs (see 2011 factsheet). However, the take-over was not successful.
