Description
Energy group Eneco has announced that it will cut between 400 and 500 jobs when it merges two of its subsidiary companies. According to the source, the two companies to be merged are Stedin (network) and Joulz (installing and maintenance), who together employ around 4000 people. The jobs will be cut between now and June 2015. Staff at the two companies have been briefed about the restructuring and the trade unions have also been informed. According to the source, the restructuring is a response to falling profits due to a reduction in tariffs for energy transport.
