Description

Saint-Gobain Sekurit a French manufacturer of windshield glass for cars is to close its plant in Auvelais, Belgium and therefore cut 263 jobs. According to the management, the decision comes from the bad financial results such as the decrease of 60% of the turnover. The unions and the workers show their protest through strikes. 

Updated, 19-12-2013:The Belgian authorities have applied for aid from the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF).
