European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Elektroconnect Company, a subsidiary of French Nexans Autoelectric group, will dismiss 60 out of 300 employees in Gelnica, Slovakia.
The company produces wire harnesses for agriculture and construction machines. Redundancies, which are due to a significant decline in orders for the second half of 2012, contribute to an already difficult situation in the region with a 22% unemployment rate.
