The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 11 May 2012 Tesco opened its new shopping hall in Debrecen, where 200 new hires will start to work. 100 of the new employees were long-term unemployed as registered by the local employment authority. 50 of them will be receiving training and support to reintegrate after long periods of unemployment.
Tesco is the largest private employer in Hungary, having 22,000 employees across the country and training more than 1,000 pupils.
