Description
Findus, producer and retailer of frozen food products, is to cut 127 jobs at its plant located in Cisterna, in the province of Latina. The plant currently employs 460 workers.
According to the company, the job cuts are mainly due to the fall in market demand. Findus had already announced 97 job cuts last year at the same plant. The trade unions reacted to the company's decision by declaring a one-day strike for 26 March.
Findus belongs to the Iglo Group, a Europe-wide frozen food business.
