Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a supplier of precision seals for the industrial, aerospace and automotive markets, has hired 120 new employees at its Maltese branch bringing the total number of its Maltese workforce to 600.
Trelleborg Malta, which is situated in Hal Far, announced that these new jobs are the result of a 2 million euro investment in its company making it possible to transfer 120 jobs which were previously done in Sweden.
UPDATE - 13th June 2011: Less than a month after Trelleborg engaged 120 new employees, the company has revealed that it will be creating an additional 50 to 100 new jobs, bringing the total number of new jobs created to 170. The creation of these new jobs is the result of Trelleborg moving the production of its V rings to Malta. Further details and a specific date for this job creation have yet to be announced.
