European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Volkswagen Slovakia Company is to expand its business and create about 1000 new jobs in its Bratislava plant by September 2010. According to the PR manager of the Company, Vladimír Michalík, the business expansion is attributed to the increasing customer demands on new Touareg, Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne off-road cars. From 2 September 2010 continuous-shift work will operate on the company's production lines.
