Description

AU Optronics, a Taiwanese electronic company, will establish its first subsidiary in Slovakia. It will create 1,300 new jobs at a new production plant near Trenčín. The company will produce LCD components there from January 2011. The Slovak Government will provide state aid to the Company to the tune of 38.27 million euro. A further 2,000 new jobs are expected to go to subcontractors.
