European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Federal Mogul, a company that supplies products, services and solutions to the automotive sector, is to close its plant located at Desenzano del Garda (in the province of Brescia), with the consequent loss of 200 jobs. The plant produces pistons. The trade unions reacted to the company's decision by going out on strike. They asked to meet the company's managers in order to find alternative solutions to the closure of the plant.
