Description

Due to global economic downturn, Yazaki, a Japanese maker of electronic components for the auto industry, has announced that it is to make 165 employees redundant at its facility in Michalovce. Yazaki is one of the biggest employers in the region with about 6.3% unemployment. As of January 2009, there is no information when the job losses will occur.
