Description
Mahle-König, a medium-sized manufacturer of parts of motor vehicle and other engines, reduced its workforce by 50 employees from the end of September to mid-December 2008. This was confirmed by Karlheinz Langner, the firm’s CEO, on 22 December 2008. Accordingly, the dismissals have been necessary due to continuously declining sales - ensuing from the global finance crisis. The company is exclusively located in Rankweil in Vorarlberg, where it employed, before restructuring, 490 workers.
