European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Maxima LT, one of the biggest retail companies in Lithuania, opened a new store in Klaipeda in supermarket BIG, on 12 December 2008. According to management, 207 employees have been appointed. At the moment Maxima LT controls approximately 36 percent of the country’s retail trade market. As of 1st January 2008 the retail chain consists of 223 retail stores.
