The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
OBI, the German operator of building materials stores owned by Tengelemann Group has announced the creation of 400 new jobs by opening two stores in Oradea and Bucharest in 2008. OBI also announced its plan to invest EUR 50 million in the development of a network of 13 stores by the end of 2009. With a workforce of 38,000 employees, OBI is the fourth largest operator of building materials in the world.
