Description
On 7 July 2008, Henkel, manufacturer of soap, detergents and other chemical products, announced that it is to cut 3000 jobs worldwide by the end of 2011. Out of these, 1000 jobs will be lost in Germany. Job cuts will most severely affect the company’s location in Düsseldorf where about 500 jobs are to be cut (out of the 1000 jobs). Concerning Henkel’s worldwide activities, a spokesperson of the company highlighted that all regions and business divisions could be affected.
