Description
Thyssenkrupp-Sodefit, the French subsidiary of the German steel products and automotive equipment manufacturer has announced that 500 jobs will be lost in a number of its sites. These figures are contested by its unions. While 1,000 jobs have been lost, the company has announced that 530 new jobs will be created in other and developing sites.
The management has explained that these restructuring and closures are linked to difficulties experienced by its main French clients, Renault and PSA and will make the 2,200 other jobs sustainable.
