European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Banner, an Austrian firm which produces automobile batteries, is to establish a subsidiary in Slovakia at which 150 are to be employed. Currently, Banner supplies batteries for BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda and Mitsubishi. The new production plant is to be constructed in Kostolné Kračany, near to Dunajská Streda. Andreas Bawart, business director of the Austrian company, believes Slovakia to be an interesting country to invest in because of the developing automotive industry in the state. Full production capacity is due to be achieved by 2010.
