Description
Autotex, a textile company that belonged to the American company Milliken and made airbags for cars has closed its plant in Asturias (Spain) and dismissed 207 employees.
The company had already closed another plant in Vacarisses (Barcelona) and dismissed 173 employees in 2004.
According to the company the reason for these two closures is the Asian competition.
The redundancy procedure has not been negotiated with the trade unions yet.
