European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The textile company Sampaio & Ferreira announced its closure in Riba de Ave. The measure will affect 200 workers. The company justified the measure by severe economic difficulties and a lack of work related to the strong competition in the market. Sampaio & Ferreira is installed in Portugal since 1896.
