European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
A call centre in Castlebar, Co Mayo is to close in May 2005 with the loss of more than 100 jobs. Employees of UK-based Contact Partners Ltd were informed by management that the firm's Mayo base is to close down completely. However, the workers are being offered the option of relocating to the company's other Irish facility at Shannon Airport or either of the firm's two UK bases. The company said it was being forced by economic circumstances to streamline its Irish operations.
