Länsförsäkringar, a Swedish insurance group, announced the potential dismissal of 400 employees across its subsidiaries as part of an extensive change programme launched in the spring of 2026 to streamline operations and cut costs.
The restructuring aims to reduce expenses by at least two billion kronor (approx. €179 million), improve work practices, and secure long-term competitiveness. Job losses cover all affected subsidiaries except local county branches. The company has reported the process to the Employment Agency, as required, and trade union negotiations are ongoing.
The Länsförsäkringar group has about 4000 employees. The whole Länsförsäkringar organisation, including the local county branches, currently employs around 10,200 staff.
