Description

Raiffeisen-Lagerhaus GmbH, an Austrian retail and warehouse chain belonging to the Raiffeisen-Konzern, announced that over 100 employees will lose their jobs across two locations.

The restructuring follows a structural shift in agriculture, difficult economic conditions, changing buying habits and rising costs, aimed at stabilising the company’s long-term viability.

Aspang (Neunkirchen) and Pernitz (Wiener Neustadt-Land) will close, while other sites such as Ternitz, Schwechat, Gloggnitz, Grimmenstein, Krumbach, Bruck and Thomasberg are being restructured but without confirmed job cuts.

Union GPA Niederösterreich has begun negotiations with management for a social plan to mitigate the impact.
