European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Aviludo, a Portuguese food distributor belonging to Metro AG, has opened a new logistics centre in Maia following an investment of €27 million. The company plans to hire 140 direct employees for the operation by 2027, in operational and qualified technical roles.
The centre is intended to strengthen Aviludo’s distribution network in northern Portugal. It has 11,000 square metres of space and can store approximately 9,000 pallets at different temperatures. Construction took 13 months.
The site includes a planned photovoltaic installation, electric vehicle charging points and a CO₂ refrigeration system.
