European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Branson Ultrasonics a.s., a Slovak manufacturing subsidiary of the US group Emerson, announced that up to 103 employees at its Nové Mesto nad Váhom plant may be laid off in the coming weeks. The move follows Emerson's strategic decision to shift part of production to external partners, aimed at improving operational efficiency and long-term competitiveness. The layoffs have already been reported to the local labour office.
All job losses would occur at the Nové Mesto nad Váhom site. Before any changes take effect, the company will hold a consultation period with the trade union representing its employees at the plant, and has committed to keeping operations unchanged in the meantime, running at full capacity as before. The company states it aims to manage the transition transparently and fairly, in cooperation with employee representatives.
