European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Healthcare Foam, S.L.U., a Spanish subsidiary of the multinational group MLILY, has announced the closure of its factory in Quartell, Spain. The decision will eliminate 125 jobs.
The company cites ongoing economic challenges and the need to streamline operations as the main drivers for the shutdown.
All 125 positions will be terminated through a formal dismissal process under an Employment Redundancy File (ERE). Trade Unions remain opposed to the plan, demanding fair compensation, social safeguards and a genuine negotiation of conditions, including proper indemnities, payroll regularisation, pension plans for older workers and protection against future redundancies.
