European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
CallMat, an Italian business process outsourcing and customer contact services company, announced 350 job cuts affecting employees at its Matera site in the Basilicata region on 14 September 2026. The company formally initiated a collective redundancy procedure following a prolonged dispute concerning the future workload and business prospects of the site. Trade unions SLC-CGIL, FISTEL-CISL, UIL FPL and UGL Telecomunicazioni called for urgent intervention by the Basilicata regional government and the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), requesting discussions with the company, the client and public authorities to explore alternatives to redundancies and safeguard employment.
