European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
MaiaSpace, a French space industry company and subsidiary of ArianeGroup, announced the creation of 160 jobs at its new Maia Factory in Vernon, Eure. The plant will produce rocket components for launch vehicles to be transported to Le Havre before final assembly in French Guiana.
The expansion is part of France’s national strategy to strengthen space sovereignty and meet future launch demand by 2032, aiming to conduct 20 launches per year with 25–30 stages produced annually.The project forms part of France's strategy to strengthen national and European sovereignty in access to space and to support future civilian and military satellite launches.
The new facility will add to MaiaSpace's workforce, which has grown from around 20 employees at its founding to roughly 400 today.
