DHL Group, a German logistics provider, announced the creation of 250 new jobs at its newly expanded sorting centre in Köln (Eifeltor), making it one of the largest package hubs in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The expansion was inaugurated on 09/09/2026 and will increase the sorting capacity to approximately 50 000 parcels per hour.
The investment aims to strengthen DHL's network efficiency amid rising parcel volumes, positioning the centre as a key node in Germany’s logistics infrastructure.
All 250 positions are located at the Köln (Eifeltor) site, raising total employment at the site to about 700 employees.
The DHL group employes 600.000 people worldwide and 182.000 in Germany.
