Description

HSBC, a multinational banking group, announced a 582 job cuts affecting its Polish and German operations.

In Poland, 134 staff will lost their jobs, including finance, banking, risk, compliance and other units. In an earlier wave in June, the Krakow center saw 128 employees dismissed across various IT, HR and cybersecurity roles HSBC Service Delivery 2026 - PL.

In Germany, HSBC is ending its transaction services business, cutting approximately 320 positions at Transaction Services GmbH and Service Company Germany GmbH progressively until 2028.

The restructuring aims to simplify HSBC’s operating model and reduce costs worldwide. The layoffs are part of a broader strategy that includes relocating some processes to India.
