Description

MBDA, a French defence company, announced the creation of 300 new jobs through the opening of a new site in Loiret and further expansion of its Selles-Saint-Denis plant. The firm will has committed to an investment envelope of €230 million for the Salamandre project, which includes two phases inaugurated on September 2026.

The expansion is driven by geopolitical considerations that underscore France’s need for missile sovereignty and defence capability, as highlighted by MBDA’s leadership. The transformation will also incorporate modern digital manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and resilience in the industry. Job creation is focused at the Loiret department level, with Selles-Saint-Denis hosting the full assembly line and the new facility expected to add capacity for future missile production.

MBDA, jointly owned by Airbus, BAE Systems, and Leonardo, is a global defence leader. The company operates in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Previously in the ERM Database, MBDA was mentioned in another hiring campaign in France, in 2025, with 250 new job positions. MBDA 2025 - FR
