European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Cofigeo, a French agro-alimentaire group, announced 142 jobs cuts with the closure of its William Saurin plant in Saint-Thibault-des-Vignes, Seine-et-Marne.
The decision follows a decline in activity and an inability to modernise the aging facility. To offset losses, the company will create 41 new jobs at Capdenac in Aveyron and relocate some potato-based activities to Pouilly-sur-Serre in Aisne, while maintaining support functions on site.
The plant is scheduled to close by the end of June 2027 under a PSE plan that offers internal mobility and individual assistance.
