Description

Security Services KUO, a Spanish private-security firm, has announced the collective dismissal of 163 staff as part of its liquidation proceedings in Spain.

The company, which employs around 1,300 workers nationwide, is facing insolvency after months of unpaid wages and contract disputes. The dismissals are being carried out under the administration concursal’s Employment Regulation File (ERE), affecting personnel distributed across several provinces.

Trade union FTSP-USO have warned about the impact on workers’ families and called for public authorities to ensure proper subrogation. In this regard, and under the current subrogation process, most of the remaining employees are transferred to the security companies taking over KUO’s contracts, allowing them to retain their jobs despite KUO’s closure.
