Description

Tecnocall, an Italian call centre and customer service company, announced 59 job cuts at its operational site in L’Aquila, Abruzzo, affecting workers engaged in the Hera “Servizio a Tutele Graduali” energy customer service contract. The restructuring follows the confirmed expiry of the Hera contract on 31 March 2027 and the absence of alternative commercial or industrial opportunities for the L’Aquila site, where the employees have been providing customer support services linked to Italy’s energy market transition. The company has stated that it will open a collective redundancy procedure under Law 223/1991 for the 59 employees concerned.

The trade unions have said they will try to find way to retain the jobs.
