Description

TDG Ibernavitas, a Chinese energy-storage firm, has inaugurated its first production line in Zaragoza’s Polígono Plaza de Zaragoza. The plant will assemble BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), contributing to renewable integration and grid stability. Over the next five years, the company plans to create up to 800 direct jobs in Spain, with an initial workforce of around one hundred workers expected shortly after launch.

The expansion is driven by a strategic push toward green technologies and sustainable energy solutions, positioning Zaragoza as a new hub for advanced battery storage and related innovations. The project will gradually increase production capacity from 1.5 GWh to potentially 5 GWh annual output, with future plans for an expanded battery-cell facility in the region.
