Description

DIHAG Solutions, a German automotive supplier specialising in steel and iron casting, announced the reduction of 153 positions at its Auhammer plant in Battenberg. Out of these, 99 jobs will be lost by 30 June 2026 (with no news being available regards the timing of the remaining positions to be shed).

The restructuring follows sustained declines in demand for components such as turbolader housings and motor pallette production within the automotive segment. While the company retains operations in steel and iron casting, it is exploring new business fields in defense technology, aiming to establish a presence by 2028. The company announced to realise the job redudancies in a socially responsbile manner, offering early retirement options or options to enter a transfer agency.

The Auhammer plant currently employs 425 staff that will be reduced to 272 employees once the job cuts are fully implemented.
