Description

Baleària Canarias, a Spanish maritime operator, has announced the hiring of approximately one hundred new professionals across its delegations in the Canary Islands archipelago and on ships operating there. The move increases the workforce from the 1,500 employees transferred from Armas Trasmediterránea—850 linked to Canary routes—to about 1,600 total.

The expansion aims to reinforce customer service, port operations and ship crews, supporting the company’s commitment to a robust operational structure capable of meeting current and future maritime transport demands in the region.

Recruitment continues with fifteen additional open selection processes for roles such as ticket agents, cargo staff, commercial personnel, stewards and port-operations teams. Social partners are engaged through dialogue with company committees, reinforcing collaborative relations with local ports and institutions.
