Description

Workpress Aviation, a Czech manufacturer of aircraft components based in Plzeň, has announced the construction of a new plant in neighbouring Vejprnice as part of a major expansion plan creating approximately 500 new jobs. The company started its recruitment process for the new plant already, for which it collaborates with local technical schools. The new plant is expected to reach full production capacity within two years, with construction set to begin in the fall of 2026.

This expansion is part of the companies strategy responding to the sharp increase in demand for new aircraft that follows the initial decline caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The company currently employs 250 workers, approximately 80% of whom are directly involved in production. Employees produce individual parts and must independently handle production preparation, machining, and inspection, which requires a high level of skill.
