Description

Legrand, a French group specialising in electrical solutions, has announced that it will cut 178 jobs by 2028. The decision involves the permanent closure of four production sites in Pont-en-Royans (Isère), Lagord (Charente-Maritime), Confolens (Charente), and Châlus (Haute-Vienne). The plan provides for the possibility of internal reassignment and voluntary retirement for the affected employees. In case employees are not interested in this measure, a personalized support is offered.

The consolidation of operations at the Group's sites, notably in Limoges and Sillé-le-Guillaume, aims to streamline the organisation, strengthen the competitiveness of “Made in France” products, and accelerate solutions related to the energy and digital transitions.

Three prior large-scale restructurings have been recorded in the ERM database, with the latest in 2009 Legrand 2009 - PRT.

Legrand has a workforce of 5,000 employees in fourteen sites in France.
