European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Dow Chemical, an American chemical company, has announced the elimination of 4,500 jobs worldwide, including 138 positions in Spain, predominantly at its main production plant in the Tarragona petrochemical complex (roughly 19% of its Spanish workforce).
The cuts are part of the company's "Transform to Outperform" plan, aimed at boosting productivity and optimizing processes across its global operations. While the exact timeline remains undisclosed, the company has pledged to keep employees informed and to engage with social partners during the restructuring process.
