Description

Michelin, a French tire manufacturer, announced decision to cut around 1,500 jobs in a redundancy plan, almost 10% of its French workforce. This is a workforce adjustment plan focused on voluntary departures and it will affect especially the tertiary sector. The plan will offer personalized programmes for internal or external mobility, career transition, and training. Affected jobs are concentrated in Paris, Clermont-Ferrand and Lille, reflecting the company's tertiary workforce distribution. Negotiations with employee representatives are underway, with the program scheduled to run for three years starting now.

Previously, Michelin was mentioned on the ERM Events Database: the company had already cut 1,254 jobs in France in 2024, when it closed its facilities in Cholet and Vannes. Michelin 2024 - FR
