European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Ficosa, a Spanish automotive firm, announced 172 job cuts at its Viladecavalls plant, which employs 800 staff. The restructuring is driven by a sustained decline in automotive demand and a shift toward electric-vehicle production and defense-sector diversification. All 172 dismissals will be carried out through a collective redundancy process (ERE). No additional measures or rounds of layoffs are indicated, and the cuts are confined to the Catalan site.
