Description

Airbus Spain, the Spanish branch of the European aerospace company, is set to expand its industrial presence in Castilla-La Mancha, with plans to create between 400 and 500 new jobs in Albacete and the surrounding province. The project, backed by an investment of nearly ten million euros, will increase by 60% the capacity of the Castilla-La Mancha Science and Technology Park (PCTCLM), with this employment creation process expected before the summer.

In parallel, the region will sign an agreement with the European Space Agency in April to launch the ESA-BIC incubation programme in Albacete, fostering aerospace start-ups and innovation. The move aims to consolidate Castilla-La Mancha as a key player in the European aerospace ecosystem, alongside other industrial centres such as Illescas.

Airbus has experienced similar business expansion events in 2022 Airbus 2022-ES and 2023 Airbus 2023-ES, with employment creation of 750 and 1300 new jobs, respectively.
