Description

Indorama Ventures, a Thai manufacturer of polyester yarn, is closing its site in Longlaville (Meurthe-et-Moselle), resulting in the loss of 165 jobs. The site produces polyester yarn for tyres.

Despite investing in the site after it's purchase in 2017, the estimated production for this year are low due to high competitiveness from Asia. Indorama has therefore begun the process of finding a buyer. Social partners are also being consulted to develop a job saving plan.

Indorama Ventures has a total workforce of around 26,000 employees worldwide.
