Description

Papresa, an historic paper manufacturer located in Errenteria (Gipuzkoa), has presented an Employment Redundancy File (ERE) affecting 110 of the 250 workers, placing nearly half of the workforce at risk.

The works council has strongly criticised management, demanding a “real and transparent” dialogue and clear information regarding the future of the plant. Employee representatives insist that any sale agreement must include guarantees for the maintenance of all jobs and the long-term industrial viability of the site. Workers have expressed deep concern over what they describe as a lack of responsibility and clarity from the company regarding the potential impact on their employment.

Four strike days have been scheduled, on 17, 20, 24 and 27 February, to demand concrete commitments that prioritise job security over financial interests linked to a possible sale.
